Temperature Interval Converter

Convert temperature differences rather than absolute temperatures: a change of 1 °C equals a change of 1.8 °F or exactly 1 K. Used in heat transfer and HVAC calculations.

Frequently asked questions

Why is converting a temperature interval different from converting a temperature?

Intervals ignore the zero offset: 10 °C is 50 °F as a temperature, but a 10 °C rise is only an 18 °F rise. The formulas are Δ°F = Δ°C × 1.8 and ΔK = Δ°C.
