Percentage Calculation Formulas

Basic Percentage:

(Part ÷ Whole) × 100 = %

Example: 25 out of 200 = (25÷200)×100 = 12.5%

Find Value from %:

(% ÷ 100) × Whole = Value

Example: 15% of 200 = (15÷100)×200 = 30

Percentage Increase:

Base × (1 + %/100) = New Value

Example: 100 + 20% = 100×1.20 = 120

Percentage Decrease:

Base × (1 - %/100) = New Value

Example: 100 - 20% = 100×0.80 = 80

Percentage Change:

((New - Old) ÷ Old) × 100 = % Change

Example: 50→75 = ((75-50)÷50)×100 = 50%
